I want to compile the document, but cannot figure out how to make the first chapter say ‘Prelude’ instead of ‘Chapter One’. I’m assuming that this isn’t hard to do, but I haven’t quite gotten how to do it. Using it on Mac, if that makes a difference.
Thanks!

Moved to the Mac Tech Support forum.

You need a section layout that does _not_ add an autonumbering placeholder. Probably the simplest way is to duplicate the layout you’re using for numbered chapters, and edit it to remove the placeholder,

If the above paragraph is meaningless to you, see Section 23.3 in the manual for how to assign layouts, and Section 24.2 for how to edit them.
