Chapter names not coming with compile

I’ve been away from Scrivener for a while and returning to a pretty different program, so excuse my ignorance.

I am compiling a manuscript and adding to an inDesign file, which is working fine with the exception of a stubborn refusal to export my chapter titles, which are red and have a box around them for reasons I cannot deduce. I apply a format to the Chapter head, and it remains red and in a box (see screenshot).

I’m sure there’s a checkbox somewhere I’m missing - - any help would be appreciated!

It looks like an inline annotation to me, or a comment that isn’t meant to be seen by your readers. The toggle is in the Insert menu. It woks like bold/italics, so you have select the text you wish to toggle in entirety.
