Chapter Snapshot

I would like to be able to save a merge of the contents of a folder and its subdocuments to the folder’s snapshots.

This would give me a tidy way to reference a version of a whole chapter in its old order without resorting to cluttering the binder with duplicates.

I would also be able, if a revision really went badly, to restore the old version by restoring the snapshot of the chapter and then splitting the document to recreate the scene breaks. (The revised scrivenings would be deleted.)

P.S. I suppose, technically, I could accomplish this by duplicating the chapter and its subdocuments, Merge Documents, paste into the original folder, take snapshot, delete pasted text, but that’s a little tedious.

Here’s one scenario:
I select a chapter (folder) and all its scrivenings (text). Take snapshot of selected documents. Begin editing. In the process move snippets of text here and there and end up with an empty scene, delete it. Realize the snapshot of that scene is gone along with all previous snapshots. There’s no copy of the old order. Later, remember a paragraph I deleted and want to reference. Go through the snapshots of different scrivenings trying to find which one had the paragraph, if it wasn’t deleted.
