I have overstepped my technical expertise I fear. I attempted to make changes to the character map in order to use an e with an accent, which I can now do with abandon but I have lost the ability to use ? and /. I have my keyboard set to US and have also tried Alt Shift. I am using a Windows version. Many thanks.
