Check for updates - no network connection

When I choose:
Help…Check for updates…

Scrivener reports:

This is despite every other networked application in the world working. I have looked for a Scrivener-blocking rule in my firewall, but don’t see anything in particular.

I’m running Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

There was a bug a few versions ago that produced that error when checking for new updates. Download the newest version direct from the site (from here: and run the installer. :slight_smile:
