There are some Turkish TV series that have several hundred episodes! And in some of the series each episode is 90-150 minutes long, like a feature movie. They generally have high production value, but some of them, because of the length of each episode can be slow paced—you see a rider on a horse galloping for 10 minutes or so. This is where FF comes in handy. Or you can speed up the playtime.
The Turks have a long history spanning over many dynasties so they have a lot of material to make into TV series. The historical accuracy varies, some more accurate than others.
And they are watched all over the world, not just the Muslim sphere.
