I was using this little app until a little while ago: https://www.grc.com/freeware/clickey.htm

Then I bought a mechanical keyboard and OOOOHHHHH MYYYYY IT’S AWESOME. It’s a completely different typing experience compared to “normal” keyboards.

It even has a cute little sound when you hit the return key… pretty cheap to buy and easy to turn on and off.
