Collecting documents in Full Screen mode

I thought it had been working, but now when I highlight a continuous string of documents, then hit Full Screen, it opens with only the first document loaded.

Edit Scrivenings does work though.

Here’s the console:

…version 1.08.

That’s a feature, actually.

If you want to Edit Scrivenings in full screen, you select a set of documents, start ES, then start full screen.

If you select a set of documents and start full screen, what you’re doing is preloading full screen’s history function, so you can use the back and forward commands to move between documents instead of navigating through and picking them from the “go” list.

Full Screen acts in the same way as the normal editor, so you have to tell it you want an Edit Scrivenings session. It won’t guess that you do just because you’ve selected more than one document.

So: select the documents you want, activate Edit Scrivenings, and then hit Full Screen. Voila.

Thanks guys, I must have imagined it…

… but come to think of it, what else would the user want to do when selecting Full Screen with mutiple documents highlighted? Maybe this should be a new feature, accomplishing the user’s goal in one step, rather than two?

As Janra already said, it puts the documents into the view history, enabling you to switch back and forth between them.

If you have several very long single documents, for example, it’s much easier to use the forward/back buttons to navigate between them (and means the cursor remains in place in the document).
