# Comments and Footnotes missing

I was going through the tutorial when I accidentally deleted the comments and footnotes. I cannot figure out how to get them back. They are grayed out on the menu, I have attached them to the tool bar and they are still grayed out.

Please help?

delete the current tutorial project and start a new one. That’s the brute force but easy way.

I have tried that but no luck, also I have a detailed outline for a novel and I don’t want to lose that.

Any other ideas?
