Timeline view is awesome! However, it’s not very compact: unless you have a massive screen, it’s hard to see the shape of the novel.
Please could we have a more compact view? E.g. allow cards on different timelines to overlap each other (since they wouldn’t touch.)
Or, could we have a better zoom so it’s possible to shrink things down?

You can already shrink the size of the cards down. The problem is that if it shrinks down too much (font and all), you won’t be able to read anything and so it would be of limited use.

Ah but you could allow negative spacing like this:
Since the cards don’t overlap on the timeline, they can overlap laterally.
