Compile Draft changes format

I just did a “compile draft” of my current novel and even though it’s double-spaced, standard ms format in Scrivener, when I opened the exported draft it was single-spaced with an extra line between paragraphs (so I can’t just switch to double-spacing because then there would be extra lines between paragraphs).

Any idea what’s going on?

Export to RTF instead of .doc or .docx. The OS X .doc and .docx exporters are buggy when it comes to line spacing, unfortunately. RTF is the best format to use in general, and all versions of Word support it.
