Hi,
I’ve been trying out the beta version since last summer, and I encountered a possible bug. Couldn’t find a similar topic on the forum, so made one here.
Issue:
When I was compiling and exporting it to Docx format, I got the error below. I restarted the Scrivener and I can recreate it. The same error happens when I attempted Doc format as well. RTF worked without the error.
Solution:
I changed the date notation from Japanese calendar era (Reiwa 2/1/10) to Gregorian calendar (2020/1/10) from the Windows Setting>Time and Language>Region. It worked. No other regional setting has been changed, I suspect the non-alphanumeric year names in Japanese calendar is the issue.
I’m not too used to bug reporting here, so I couldn’t find the log file myself, but I saved the error message. I can provide it if someone can point me to the file location.
Error message:
Could not convert to required format

Environment
Scrivener Version: 2.9.0.33 Beta (799093) 64-bit - 09 1 2020
Windows 10 Home 64 bit build 1809
Intel Core i5-7600K
16GB DDR4
Hope it helps. It is unique to Japanese users, so it might only affect a very small portion of users, but would be nice if it is fixed.
I love Scrivener and excited for the polished version.
