Compile [Text Formatting] Settings don't seem to take

Trying to export a manuscript to PDF.

Each chapter is listed as a section, and is single spaced.
I cloned the Manuscript (Times) format and started working.

Here’s what I would like:

  • Font is 12 point Times New Roman
  • Double-spacing for the text
  • Each chapter starts on a new page
  • Chapter headings start 5 lines down from the top
  • 1" margins
  • Each first line is indented 1/2"

First, there were section breaks everywhere, I had a “#” every other line. I figured that part out.

I’m still stuck on the text not showing the double-spacing or the indentation.
The chapter titles are not appearing either.

Are you using a “body” style in the Scrivener Editor?

Have you assigned a Section Layout that includes section titles, page breaks, and first line indents? (The preview tiles in the center pane of the main Compile screen will show you these elements.)

Thank you. I think that was part of it. I made sure the body style within the Editor itself was “No Style” and then changed the sections to Headers, so now I have the indentation and double-spacing working.
