Compiler: replace space with non-breaking space. The command works, but gets removed.

Perhaps this is just me being dense and there’s some better way to do this, but it might also be a bug. When I go into the “replace text” menu in the compiler and ask to replace a space with a non-breaking space, it appears to do it just fine, but only if I don’t leave the text replace menu. If I do, it removes the replacement. My best guess is that an ordinary space in the “replace” column reads as empty and it decides to clean it up. If I close the menu after entering the command, it doesn’t actually follow it while compiling, but again, if I stay in the menu and compile immediately, it works.
