Compiling: Assigning a Title Font, Chapter Title as Header, etc.

I am using Scrivener for Windows 3. (Also on Mac, but I usually compile on Windows.) I am having a hard time figuring out some of the fiddlier settings while trying to create a Compile Format. I have read the manual, watched a few videos, and Googled the forums, so I apologize if these questions all have a simple answer.

So, here are the things I want to do:

  1. See attached picture. For the “Chapter with Title” layout, I want the chapter title to appear in a particular font. I tried assigning it in the Section Layouts screen, and I tried assigning it a Style (in the Styles menu), but what I keep getting is the font you see to the left under Section Layouts, not the one I assigned.

  1. I would like the headers, on alternating pages, to say “Chapter One” “Chapter Two” etc., with the facing header being the title of the chapter. I tried “Chapter <$W>” and “<$pageGroupTitle>” respectively, but no luck.

Thanks.
