compiling italics into plain text

Hi,

I compile to plain text.

I’m curious if there’s a way to tell the compiler to take anything I’ve italicized in the rich text editor and automatically bracket it with asterisks like this?

No, I’m afraid there’s no way to do this at the moment. We are planning some basic MMD conversions like this for a future version.
