Compiling question

Okay, so I know the problem is that I am dumb and I don’t know the right thing to look for when looking stuff up here. My question is when I compile how do I keep the first paragraph of a section indented. I don’t want it to look any different than if I typed it all in one section. I have found how to remove the space between sections but not how to make it leave the indent alone.

Hi, it is most likely due to the settings of the compile format you chose for compiling:

Here is the compile format’s – or preset, if you’d like – panel that you get by double-clicking on one in the list on the left side of the compile panel (main panel).

“Do not change” is the setting you want it to be set for, at the bottom.
If you have more than one item in the list at the top (like I have three in my snapshot) you can go back to the main panel to see to which layout your section is assigned, or, if you don’t have such specificities in your project (and don’t care for the moment), just change them all to this position. (Anyways, you can’t save over a built-in preset.)
P.S. It is not required to be dumb to not know everything off the bat

I had no idea that in section layout the bottom area changed when I picked the layout name… I know that it is a powerful system it just seems that the default setup is clunky. Thank you for the help!!!
