Composition Mode Crawl

My 2012 MBA finally died and so I treated myself to a new MBPro 13" - the 10th gen i5 with 16GB RAM - It was a clean install and so far the only apps I’ve added are research/writing related: Scrivener (3.1.5); Keyboard Maestro, Tinderbox etc.

I am loving working with Scrivener on it, BUT for some reason entering Composition mode produces an intolerable typing lag - one letter every couple of seconds. As I use C-mode a lot are there some obvious things I should be looking at to cure this?

Sometimes a custom background image to the composition mode can cause this. If you have added a background image you can remove it within Project>Project Settings.

Many thanks Rob, that’s exactly what it was. Odd as I used that same background for years on my MBA with no issues.
Glad to be able to get on now though.
