Constant crashes & corrupt files since OSX 10.11

Scrivener has been rock-solid for me for years, but that’s all changed since I did a clean install of El Capitan and copied my files back to my Mac.

In short, Scrivener now crashes routinely when I try to open a .scriv file and, more often than displays an empty/broken .scriv file — as shown here:

These often won’t then close and I have to then restart the app. Which then crashes. And so on.

While I’ve been able to recover work from old Scriv files so far, I’m concerned that catastrophe is imminent and I’m going to lose something for good. So any idea what’s going on?

Scrivener 2.7 (26106)

Hi,

The first thing to try is this:

scrivener.tenderapp.com/help/kb … -os-x-1011

Let us know if you’re still seeing crashes and weirdness after that.

All the best,
Keith

Post in haste, repent at leisure… I saw the fix soon after I posed the question and the first NSFONTS fix seems to have done the trick. Thanks for the heads up anyway!
