I use underlined text during writing and editing for better visibility, and I have “convert underline to italics” enabled during compile.
The problem occurs when I set a section layout to be italic in the compile options. In Scrivener’s normal behavior, italic text nested within other italic text reverses (becomes non-italic).
I would expect the same behavior with underlined text that gets converted to italics during compilation, but it doesn’t. The text stays italic instead of reversing.
Is there any way to reach the expected behavior, i.e. make the compiled underlined text properly reverse to non-italic when it appears within an italic section layout?
