Is it possible to convert inline footnotes to footnotes only visible through the Inspector? I imported a word document with footnotes that where included as inline footnotes and they interupt the main text too much!

There’s a bunch of useful conversion options for all kinds of comments and footnotes. Try using, for instance, Format/ Convert/ Inline Footnotes to Inspector Footnotes.
