Is there a way to convert the quotation marks and apostrophes in TITLES (i.e., folder/file names) to smart quotes/apostrophes? It defaults to “dumb” punctuation, and I can’t find a way to change that…
I imagine the titles you refer to are all plain text, so you’ll have to enter them manually: Opt-[ for opening double quote, Shift-Opt-[ for closing double quote, Opt-] for single opening quote, Shift-Opt-] for closing single quote.
You’ll have to experiment to see if they stick … I have no idea.
If you don’t have it, Devon’s WordService is a great collection of free services that will let you convert quotes to smart-quotes using the Services context menu. Among many other things.
