Copying ruler styles to another computer

I’d like to share a Scrivener doc between two computers. On computer #1, I copied the doc to my DropBox. Then on computer #2 I downloaded the doc to work with it locally. All my custom styles did not seem to make it from computer #1 to computer #2. Are the styles stored outside the document in a separate file?

Ruler styles are really more of an OS X thing, so yes they are stored in a place where all of your applications can access them. See the FAQ for further information, and a link with more detailed instructions on how transfer styles.

Note that in most cases, unless you have dozens of them, it’s easier to create a template RTF with one paragraph for each style, and then load that RTF on the target computer and manually create new ones based on the formatting in that document.
