corkboard return-key

This question probably has been answered already, but I can’t find any answer anywhere.

When in corkboard and I hit the return-key, I either (depending on my setup in preferences) end up with a new index card or with the pin and the status stamp reappearing - but never with a line change. I can do without it of course, but it is cumbersome to always hit the spacebar till the end of the line and only then resume typing.

Is anybody out there who can help me?

Try option/alt-return.

Hit alt-return to create a newline when typing in corkboard view - the corkboard editor works the same as the editor in table views, outline views and text fields.
