Using Scrivener 2, corrections I need don’t work on every mac I use (iMac or Macbook pro 2017) and depending on which mode I work on (scriptwriting, Editor mode, Composition mode) :
Using French guillemets (that is correcting " into «) never works in scriptwriting mode (in both Editor and composition/fullscreen modes) whatever the Mac I use. Moreover, French guillemets («) are available in plain text documents.
The auto-complete list (INT. EXT. character names etc.) doesn’t pop up when I use my Macbook pro 13’ in composition + scriptwriting modes, but it works in Editor / scriptwriting modes with my Macbook pro and in both Editor and Composition modes + Scriptwriting on my iMac !
I use the same files (project and preferences). Corrections boxes are of course ticked. These issues are the same with Sierra and High Sierra.
Not a big deal as I’m waiting for Scrivener 3. But the issue might remain the same.
To me, my main trouble is auto-complete list not showing up in Composition + scriptwriting modes on my Macbook pro 13’.
I can only answer one thing. There is absolutely no need to put Scrivener in full screen mode in order to then go into Composition mode, as that puts you in Full Screen mode anyway.
Indeed but there is a need to put Scrivener in full screen mode in order to work in Editor mode and then to be able to go into Composition mode, then switch again from one mode to the other. And the Editor mode is much better in full screen mode.
It might be a minor bug (pop-up windows that are here but are not visible because of Scrivener being in full screen mode ). Why not reporting it and trying to fix it if there’s actually a (minor) issue ?
