You’re probably going to need a refresher with the interactive tutorial in the Help menu, if you’re asking questions like that. The topic I linked you to assumes a certain familiarity with the basics of the software.

Without seeing your settings it’s impossible to say. One possibility is that the first one was a manual backup and the second was an automatic backup.
Regardless, you’ll want to open both of them and see what they contain.
