Crash(?) Compiling in Novel Format Template

When I create a ‘Novel Standard Manuscript Format’ template and then go to compile the draft, to either doc or rtf (haven’t tried the others) it hangs as it’s compiling, for as long as I wait. The program freezes. I have to quit out.

I am able to successfully compile my Scrivener docs that are based on the normal empty document format. In fact, I’ve used these docs frequently and compiled often with no problem. I was investigating the Novel template, haven’t really done anything to the template except type a few words into the provided scene document and then try to compile, using the provided settings, and it hangs every time I go to compile it.

I’m using version 1.11.

Thanks.

Could you open up the Console (~/Applications/Utilities/Console.app) and then try it, and see if any errors get output to the console?
Thanks,
Keith

Don’t know it this will help… but went into the console and captured some data that seemed relevant.

By the way, I’ve dragged some stuff from the Novel Template binder to an Empty template binder and it compiled. So I’m using that as a work-around.

Thanks.

Hmm, nothing there unfortunately. Everything in the console is harmless debugging code that I left in 1.11 accidentally, and the crash log reports nothing at all for 1.11. Could you zip up the problematic project and send it to support AT literatureandlatte DOT com?
Thanks,
Keith

Will do. It happens with any novel template document I generate. Will send you one.

Thanks again.
