Crash When Viewing Empty Corkboard[BUG LOGGED]

I began a new project and was presented with the initial empty window. The first thing I clicked was the ‘Show Corkboard View’ button at the center of the taskbar and the program immediately crashed.

I hadn’t entered any text in, hadn’t clicked anything since creating the new project. I attempted the same thing again with a different new project and it happened the same way.

I tried to replicate the steps by GryphonFledgling and I found that the program only crashes when I choose the fiction templates. When I choose blank or scriptwriting templates, it does not cause a crash. I’ve attached the crash details provided by Windows 7.
empty corkboard.txt (563 Bytes)

I’ve just tried to replicate this also.

Steps

  1. Create New Project
  2. Select template from fiction category
  3. Named it ‘test’
  4. Clicked on corkboard icon without adding text first.
  5. I get a scrivener.exe has encountered an error and needs to close message.
  6. When I reload Scrivener I get a ‘project open on another computer’ message, however project does re-open.

Notes

  1. If I add text to the synopsis in the inspector before I switch to the corkboard it works fine.
  2. If I switch the outline without adding text first this error also occurs.
  3. Crashes only appear to occur if you click on the corkboard or outline as the first thing you do once the new fiction project has been created by scrivener.

Perfect. Got it to crash mine as well. Thanks.
