Scrivener has started crashing when I attempt to add files to a project:
Cannot mix incompatible Qt library (version 0x40803) with this library (version 0x40800)
Aborted (core dumped)
I looked in the default install directory as well as /var/log and /tmp but I can’t find the core file referenced in the error.
I didn’t have these crashes while on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS but after upgrading to Ubuntu 12.10, I now get this crash every time.
If you search the forum, you’ll see that this is a known issue…many people suffer from this & this is the reason i don’t use scrivener at the moment…the developement for linux seems to have stopped for a while (because this the software just expires in June 2013) until they are finished with the windows version (which makes me a bit sad, because have a lot of linux users that would pay for the linux version, including me) The more time is going on without fixing these bugs, the more people will look for alternatives, which are already on their way, like this one: http://sourceforge.net/projects/plume-creator/
