Crashing on Opening Program[NOTED]

I’m not sure if I am doing something wrong, but I installed Scrivener and the first time I opened it as soon as I tried to click on corkboard the program stopped working. I then had to uninstall and then re-install the program. Once I re-installed the program I had the same problem. I tried opening the program and clicking on something else and it crashed again.

I’m on a laptop that has Windows Vista if that has any effect on my ability to use this program.

I think this program sounds great and I’d love to be able to use it. I hope there’s a solution to my problem.

This has already been logged as a bug. Clicking on an item in the binder before clicking the corkboard should stop the program from crashing.

Hope that helps. If it doesn’t please let us know.

I’m on both a Windows XP desktop, where I’ve been able to create and edit a Scrivener file, and a Windows XP Dell Inspiron 1520, where even if I try to open the file I created on the desktop, I get an error message saying “This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.” I’ve uninstalled, rebooted, and reinstalled, and am still getting the same error message.

@tmycann - Have you read THIS POST which cites that exact error?
