I’m working with a very big project (many folders, many texts), and I have preferences set to curly quotes. Things are fine when I open the project, but after the computer (MacBook Pro, Yosemite) sleeps and wakes, Scrivener often “forgets” the curly quotes, and I have to close and reopen the project. This doesn’t seem to happen with smaller, less complex projects. Can anything be done? (It’s not debilitating to close and reopen the project, but it is something of a nuisance.)
That’s very strange. Are you working in page layout mode, by any chance? I ask because I’m aware of some users having spell-checking and substitutions such as curly quotes stop working in page mode in rare circumstances. I think I have a fix to it, but it’s a larger underlying change so needs a lot more testing.
