Cursor placement

Hi!

While in the View Mode calld “View Document”, I noticed a strange behavior of my cursor while working with my text.

This started to happened since I updated the software to run the latest update of 2.8.1.2

I am running it on my Mac OS X Version 10.9.5

I was unable to make a screenshot, but I will try to describe what I noticed:

When clicking at the very end of a row to place the cursor, the cursor would instead place it self at the very beginning of the row.
When clicking at the very beginning of the row to place the cursor, it would instead place it self at the very end of the same row.
I noticed this once I started typing. Visually the cursor divided it self in two parts (in its upper 50% and its lower 50%) one of which placed it self at the very beginning of the row, and the other at the very end, depending on if I clicked at the end or beginning of the row.

I have never seen anything like it, and suppose it is a bug?

Help?

Thank you,

Caroline

What you are describing sounds like you’ve enabled Right-to-Left typing mode. For the paragraphs that are acting oddly, use the Format/Text/Writing Direction menu to check if that is enabled, and disable it if so.

P.S. I’ve moved your post from the Scapple forum to Scrivener.
