CUSTOMIZABLE AUTO CORRECT

This app is great! I would like a more customizable autocorrect like the one that Pages uses for Mac.

On the Mac version, I can set my autocorrect to recognize two letters and turn those letters into a word or a phrase. For instance, if I wanted to type “The Big Brown Bear from B-Town,” I could just type, “bbb,” and the autocorrect would do the rest.

Please allow for this small adjustment as I use this feature often.

Thanks.

Scrivener uses the OS X autocorrection system, so you can set up your own autocorrections by going to System Preferences > Language & Text > Text.

Hope that helps.

All the best,
Keith

How about in the Windows version? I too use a similar method, for example Kxxx for a name or place frequently used.

This was one of the first things I configured when I started using Scrivener. If you go to Tools -> Options -> Corrections and click on Edit Substitutions, you can add your custom replacements. You also need to enable the check box Enable Additional Substitutions.

I’m using the 1.2.5.0 Windows version and it’s fine.

Excellent, thank you so much
