Please, I had purchased Scrivener under AppStore and after update to 3.5 version it is not possible to deactivate the license on my old MacBook Pro. So I am not able to deactivate because…simply: the choice in Scrivener menu disappeared…I tried to uninstall the app and it doesn’t help…
Please - how can I solve the issue…
I bought my license before 2017 and every update was paid…
On the Paddle, I don’ t have the account…
Thanks for your support,
Lukas
Just download it from there again, there is no ‘license’ with App Store purchases, just when you buy direct from L&L.
unfortunately there is…because I bought app before 2017, all upgrades after scrivener 2 were made on L&L page…and there is a license key requirement…I got it, but I need to deactivate the license on my previous macbook, but after OSX upgrade on Tahoe, the option in menu disappeared…
thx, but it won’t help…by the way, as I saw on several discussions, this is not an issue just about Scrivener…
For licensing questions you should Lit & Lat support directly.
I don’t know if this would be of any help for your problem but anyhow you should install the latest version of Scrivener, which is 3.5.1.
Thank you, I got 3.5.1. (17446)…MacBook Pro M5 Tahoe 26.1…and I tried to contact them…but no response…
You don’t normally need to deactivate the Scrivener licence – you are allowed to use Scrivener on more than one Mac. Usually it asks you to deactivate on the previous Mac, but it doesn’t insist upon it.
So the first thing to do is just to install the latest version and enter the licence you have. If that doesn’t work for any reason, then your only option is to talk to Scrivener support as fellow-users have no way of helping.
Please check your junk folder.
Also, we do tend to respond a little more slowly on weekends.
Thanks to L&L support I solve it…Becasue I had an older version key, I needed to upgrade to 3.5.1 and pay for this…unfortunately I had upgraded version on my old computer to 3.0 so there has to be paid upgrade …but at 45% discount….
Thank you…by the way I have now the deactivation option in the menu…
