If I set an overall draft target and a daily target, is there a way that if I write more than my daily target, the deadline gets closer? (Rather than the daily target reducing.)

I’m afraid not. The session target will vary and the deadline will remain fixed. The developer probably thought that the number of writers actually being early for a deadline would not be large enough for it to be worth including the option!
