Deleting comments removes prior associated external or document links

When you create a comment on text that already has a link associated to it, doesn’t matter if it’s an external link or Link to Document, the moment that comment is deleted the text loses it’s prior link association. It becomes just plain text.

This happens even if a whole sentence or paragraph is selected for a comment. It looks like this happens, because comments create their own link, but losing all linkage, even prior ones . . . Is this a bug or a limitation?

A limitation. A bit of text can only be linked to one thing at a time, and a comment marker is a link (it’s even referred to in the manual as “linked notation”.)

I wondered. Thanks, and also for the additional context in the prior topic provided.
