Can anyone advise where the stock (not custom) project templates are stored, and how to delete them? I’d like to delete several I will never use. Thanx.
You can’t delete them without hacking into Scrivener itself, and even if you did that they would return every time you reinstalled or updated Scrivener. You can set the default template you want selected and ready whenever you open the templates panel though, by using the “Manage…” button.
All the best,

OK. I bet there are lots of features that would mysteriously vanish if I tried hacking the app myself.
Thanks.
Actually “hacking” wasn’t the right word - it’s pretty easy to do this if you really want to. You just ctrl-click on Scrivener.app, choose “Show Package Contents” and then drill down through the folders until you find one called “Default Support Folder”. You’ll find the project templates in there. But as I say, they’ll reappear again whenever you update Scrivener…
All the best,
Keith
OK. Thanks. I was a bit surprised not to find the stock templates in the “templates” folder, and further surprised when I couldn’t locate them, at all. Thought the removal of some would prove a bit more straightforward. No biggee. I find the improvements you’ve made to the app to be more than worthwhile – including the addition of many of the templates. Thanks for the explanation.
