This should definitely be part of Mac OS but it isn’t: Dictionary Cleaner. A simple tool – a preference pane – which lists all the words of your personal dictionaries and lets you delete or add words.
No more than that but no less either. And for no more than zero bucks.
A neat little app. Thanks, suavito!
Nice, I have always just edited that file by hand. It’s easy to do, but you have to make sure to keep the Unicode separation characters intact. This will make the process easier; thanks!
It works only for Leopard, did I get that right?
Yes, I think so - though the restriction on the web site could be better expressed: “…Takes advantage of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard and Objective-C 2.0.”
That’s kind of strange. Such a simple program editing a file whose format has not changed since 10.0.
Thanks for that one. Those squiggly red lines were doing my nut.
Dictionary Cleaner 1.5 is out. Now with a sorting function and more!
And still free. That guy is great.
