Disable smart dashes in existing project?

I want to turn off smart dashes while keeping smart ellispses, quotes, and such. Basically I want to be able to type ---- in my existing Scrivener projects, and have it stay as ----

I have use smart quotes and dashes turned off in my system preferences. I have went into text edit, right clicked and uncheck substitute smart dashes. I have tried putting in replace “–” with “–”. I have gone into Scrivener’s preferences and unchecked use smart dashes and ellipses in new projects. But how do I change this in existing projects?

In each of your existing projects, go in under Edit > Substitutions and uncheck “Smart Dashes and Ellipses”. That should do the trick.
