Disable WYSIWYG and have a Markdown panel

Hello,

I’m trying to use Scrivener as a plain, simple markdown editor.

I don’t want WYSIWYG or styles capabilities.

Instead, I would prefer a Markdowndropdown/panel and keyboard shortcuts:

I have even tried to import these styles (https://forum.literatureandlatte.com/t/default-preferences-to-emulate-plain-text/13913/1) which allows me to transform the appearance a bit, but I am not capable to work in Markdown.

Before giving up, if there is any possibility to work this way, please, let me know. Styles, fonts, spaces, colours, indents and so on distract me so much that I can’t even use Google Sheets or Word.

Thank you very much for your patience.

Scrivener is a rich text editor. It is not possible to disable formatting completely.

You can get pretty close, though. Choose a monospace font like Courier, with no paragraph indents or other layout formatting. Use your keyboard extender tool of choice to define shortcuts for Markdown commands.
