Disappearing Bullet Points After First Row

Hello! I recently switched back to the Mac version of Scrivener after using the PC version for several years. I’ve upgraded to version 3. I have one project that is full of documents with lots of bulleted lists. For the most part, they all imported correctly, mostly the short lists, but unfortunately not the long ones. My lists are supposed to look like below.

Most of the bulleted lists end up looking like this:

The top line is bulleted, and the following lines all are listed as bulleted under the List dropdown menu on the top right and have the right spacing, just no bullets.

I tried making everything bulleted and removing the bullets from the bold text lines, but that just got rid of all the bullets and it looked like this:

My other Scrivener projects seem to be fine.

I can add the bullets by selecting one to a few rows and they get bulleted with the correct indentations, but this is rather time-consuming. Is there an easy way to get my bulleted lists back without having to re-do them all? And to get rid of the bullet points for the text that I don’t want bulleted without getting rid of all of the bullets?

That happens to me sometimes, and what I usually do to fix it is, I re-select all the relevant text, set bullets to “none” and then go straight back into the bullet options and res-elect the one I wanted or had there originally. It usually fixes things, unless there’s some weird formatting issue going on that I am not readily aware of. I hope this helps.

Thanks, I did try that, but all it seems to do is align all of my rows to the top line, no indentation. This’ll take a while…

That sounds like it’s not so much a bullet issue, but it’s an overall formatting issue in turn affecting bulleting and indentation.

Ah, good to know. I’ll look into that. I’m having to manually adjust all the tabbing and it keeps getting stuck after each on. This’ll take longer than I thought.
