Disappearing Content

Good morning! I just updated to the new beta version this morning. When I opened up one of my documents, the “pages” were there and showed that there was content (the side bar showed a square with lines instead of a blank white square), but when I click on anything the pages are blank and the icons in the sidebar change to blank squares.
This is only happening to one of my documents. All of the content is just gone.

Last night I had to move the documents to compile them. For some reason they weren’t listed under “Draft” and needed to be moved in order for me to compile. Fortunately, I was compiling them as a backup. Unfortunately, now the Word doc is the only version I have and it will take me hours to put it back into Scrivener.

Has this happened before? Am I missing something?

Explain exactly what you mean by “move the documments”, where you are saving your projects and how you opened it in the beta version. In detail, click by click.

I have had exactly the same problem. The documents still are listed in the binder but the content is completely gone. Restoring the backups did not cure the problem.

The result is that, for all practical purposes, I have lost more than 200 hours’ worth of research notes and synopses.

That usually happens if you copy the scrivx file and think that this file is the whole project.
