Displaying Births and Deaths for Fiction

It appears to me that if I add the dates for birth and death of a fictional character the specific points on the timeline do not appear in the top bar where anniversary icons are shown. What does appear is the anniversary of the birthday, by icon, every five years.

Is there any way to show the birth and death dates, other than creating an event?

Are you meaning to post this to the Aeon Timeline forum? While Scrivener does have custom date fields you can add, they don’t show icons periodically, or anything like that. They can be used for anything, like recording historic events.
