While using Scrivener, the very top line with all of the drop-down menus (File, Edit, Save, etc.) disappeared. It may have been because accidentally hit a keyboard shortcut. How can I restore it? I haven’t been able to find an answer in the manual or on-line.
If you drag the mouse up to the top of the screen, does the menu come back so long as the mouse is there? If so, it sounds like you are in Full Screen mode (it’s a Mac feature, it means Scrivener is running dedicated on its own Space in Mission Control, little different than when you watch a DVD in full screen—all of the extra stuff is pushed aside to make space for the application). Just toggle out using View/Exit Full Screen or hitting Ctrl-Cmd-F (the shortcut that might have landed you there to begin with).
Yes, that’s it. I must have chosen it from the View menu, thinking it was for a particular document.
