Dropbox project not appearing on iOS 11 GM & Beta expired

First of all, the iOS beta of Scrivener has expired with no replacement (for quite a while), so I had to reinstall the normal release. Not a big deal except that now when I click Sync, it shows the Dropbox syncing pop-up but then disappears without showing the project I have in Dropbox/Writing/Projects/ folder. Only the tutorial shows up.

I’ve always had my project in that folder and could access it in both normal and beta versions.

I’m going to assume it’s an iOS 11 related issue. Anyone having this issue?

Have you checked what folder your iOS Scriv is pointing to. The default is /apps/scrivener and not the one you gave.

Sorry for the confusion on that score, but we had no intention of running a continual beta at all times. We run them when there are significant things that need to be tested (like the dark mode and Dropbox API update recently), but otherwise you should switch back to the stable stream—which likely is more stable than the last beta as usually a few last minute fixes get in.

As to the matter at hand, it could be that in the process of switching apps the Dropbox link got a bit messed up. I would try unlinking (from the main project screen, tap the gear from Edit mode) and relinking, ensuring that settings are pointing to your custom sync folder.

I don’t see any issues on my iPhone running iOS 11 with sync over here.

Thanks Amber. I’ve been able to change the folder. I was hunting around for some way of setting up Dropbox but forgot to look DOWN at the bottom of the screen haha. All sorted!
