I’m used to using Scrivener for Mac and syncing with my iPhone, and everything worked beautifully. But I’m currently between Mac computers, so I’m using the Scrivener 3 beta for Windows in the interim. I put my Dropbox folder on my Windows computer and I’m able to open the files and edit them with no problem. But when I save my changes to Dropbox, it does not sync with my iPhone. The only difference I can see between the Mac and the Windows is that on a Mac, the files in Dropbox are the Scrivener files themselves. Whereas on Windows, the Dropbox folder is a bunch of folders that contain the Scrivener files. Could that be what is messing up the sync? If so, how do I work around that?
No, it’s all the same, except that on a Mac the .scriv project folder is disguised to look like a file. It’s called a ’package’.
Have you installed the Dropbox app on the PC so it syns, the same way it did on the Mac? And is your iPhone looking in that same directory on the Dropbpx server?
Hmm I didn’t know I had to do anything special with the Dropbox folder on my Windows laptop to get it to sync. I assumed it would do it automatically. I’ll look into that.

It depends on how you got it there in the first place? You should have gotten it the same way you did on a Mac, i.e. download the Dropbox app. But even so, have you checked that it is still running in the background, uploading and downloading to keep the folder on your HD in sync with the version in the -dropbox server?
