I am setting up a complicated nested folder structure in my research binder: Countries, Destinations, Resorts, Features (Restaurants, Spa, Recreation, Entertainment, etc.). Now that I have it set up the way I want it in the Research section, I’d like to duplicate it in the Draft section. Is there a way to do this without manually recreating all the folders?
You could select the Research folder that has all of those folders in it, and then hit cmd-D (Documents > Duplicate). This will duplicate the research folder as a normal folder (named “Research-1”). Then, just drag that folder into the Draft folder, select it (Research-1, that is), and hit opt-cmd-U (Documents > Ungroup), which will take all of the folders out of Research-1 and place them directly in the Draft, and then you can delete Research-1.
In other words, the Duplicate command is really what you need.
Hope that helps!
All the best,
Keith
Thanks, Keith. That saved an hour.
