Each time I open Scrivener is like the first time

I’m not sure what’s going on with Scrivener V3, but lately, every time I open it, it treats it like I’ve just downloaded it. Each time it asks me to set my backup folder and any changes I’ve made in the preferences have been reset to the default settings. I haven’t even restarted my computer between Scrivener restarts, but this keeps happening. Any ideas?

Have you installed Scrivener in the Applications folder, or is it running from a non-standard location?

It’s in the Applications folder.

I would suggest restarting your computer, then reinstalling Scrivener from a fresh download.

Are you using the version from our site, or from the Apple Store?

I’m using the version from your site. But the latest update seems to have fixed the problem.
