So many people get overwhelmed when trying Scrivener for the first time. Would it not be possible to have an ‘Easy Mode’ Where the blank project is selected and have the minimum number of menus available. Or possibly just re-label blank and have a basic easy tutorial to get people started. The current tutorial can be a bit involved for some. Just my two penn’ orth.
We’ve got some ideas about making the introductory tutorial a bit less intimidating. In the meanwhile there is the “quick start” path within that tutorial that you can take. There is also a chapter in the user manual, “quick tour”, which is even more basic than that, and intends to get you enough up to speed to be typing in the right places—and for some people, enough to write a book.
