Editing after compiling

Can you edit a manuscript after it has been compiled? Cannot find a yes or no in the manual.
Any words of wisdom will be appreciated.

Sure. I often compile to pdf and let a few people look at an article and review and comment. Compile does not change anything. It creates a new document as html, or pdf, or .docx or epub etc. However, your original Scrivener files remain entirely unchanged as a result of the process.

Compiling does save the settings you made about how to compile thought.

Compiling creates a completely separate output file in whatever format you choose. The original Scrivener project is completely unaffected. You can make as many changes as you like to either the output file or the project, or both.
